The anticipation of residents in Bihar and Jharkhand is soon to be rewarded as the Vande Bharat Express, India's semi-high-speed train, is preparing for its launch.
Speculations suggest that the express will start operating by the end of this month, following the arrival of seven coaches in Patna on June 6. Reports indicate that the trial run of the blue and white-colored express is expected to take place in the next couple of days.
The coaches of the Vande Bharat Express have been stationed at Rajendra Nagar Terminal's coach complex, and the trial run will commence from Patna Junction under the guidance of a senior engineer from IFC Chennai. While the government has yet to announce the exact date for the regular journey of the Vande Bharat Express, which will transport passengers between Patna and Ranchi, it is expected to be revealed soon.
The final routes for the Patna-Vande Bharat Express operation are likely to be finalized by the end of this month. However, the railway ministry is currently planning to operate the semi-high-speed train through the newly laid Patna-Gaya-Koderma-Hazaribagh Town-Barkakana-BIT Mesra-Tatisilwai-Ranchi rail line.
The Vande Bharat Express is projected to cover a distance of approximately 378 kilometers at an average speed of 128 to 130 kilometers per hour.
The train has been designed to achieve a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour. It will consist of five general coaches and one luxury coach, accommodating up to 530 passengers. The express train boasts advanced safety features and is fully fireproof, ensuring a secure journey for travelers.
